NEW YORK -- Although Michael Kors for years has shown a selection of swimwear looks as part of his ready-to-wear collection, the designer is now diving full force into the business for cruise 2006.
Michael Kors Inc. has just inked a multiyear worldwide licensing deal with Warnaco Swim, formerly Authentic Fitness, which will make, distribute and market swimwear and related accessories and cover-ups under the Michael Kors and the better-priced Michael Michael Kors brand names. Warnaco Swim is a division of Warnaco Group Inc., the $1.37 billion diversified apparel firm.
