Apr. 23--Yuba City will have 3,200 more residents and 518 more acres of land with an annexation approved Thursday.
The Sutter County Local Agency Formation Commission unanimously approved the Tierra Buena annexation.
The annexation into the northwest side of Yuba City will become effective Monday.
Thursday was the last public hearing on the annexation. There were no letters of protest, and no one commented against the annexation.
James Norton, a Tierra Buena resident who lives on Roosevelt Road, attended the hearing to watch the annexation take place.
