May 11--FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- DePuy has $81 million in capital investment planned for the next two years. That's more than usual, but not so much more that the company doesn't consider the spending plans overshadowed by a $161,000 state grant package.
The Indiana Commerce Department on Thursday announced it has awarded the Warsaw-based orthopedics company $161,000 to improve the skills of 388 employees.
That's about one-third of the 1,200 DePuy employs in the community 40 miles west of Fort Wayne and "is significant to the work force of Warsaw," said Steve Cebalt, a company spokesman.
