Watertown, N.Y.-Area Country Club Stockholders Approve Sale of Golf Course.

Apr. 29--Ives Hill Country Club shareholders approved the sale of its golf course to David Dawson of Afton Golf Club for $800,000 at their annual stockholders meeting Wednesday night.

"It's going to be a smooth transition," said John A. Kennedy Jr., president of Ives Hill Land Co. Inc., which owns the course. "The name stays the same and the tradition continues. I'm really looking forward to having these guys make a success of their purchase."

Mr. Kennedy said it was a unanimous decision to sell the golf course by those shareholders who attended the meeting. Two-thirds of the club's outstanding shares had to be cast in favor of the sale for it ...
