Article: Yahoo Japan Posts Record Profit, Revenues in FY 2003.

Apr. 21--TOKYO -- Internet portal operator Yahoo Japan Corp. said Wednesday it set new all-time highs for its group net profit and operating revenue in fiscal 2003 due mainly to a growing number of Japanese Net users as well as the strength of the advertising and broadband businesses.

In a group earnings report for the year to March 31, Yahoo Japan said its net profit more than doubled to 24.83 billion yen on a 28.2 percent increase in operating revenue to 75.78 billion yen.

Pretax profit also soared, up 75.6 percent to 41.31 billion yen.
