NEW YORK - A/X Armani Exchange - Giorgio Armani's concept to sell his jeans collection - enters a new phase this month with the opening of 10 "store-in-stores" inside Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue units on Feb. 22 and one on Feb. 21.
Another five will open by March 14.
It's an expansion that, according to Armani officials, will take the concept to most major markets in the U.S. Armani's goal: 200 in-store shops generating sales of $130 million by the end of 1994, and $220 million by 1995.
