Apr. 16--After months of speculation, Wal-Mart could finally be coming to east Burlington.
Wednesday afternoon, the Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer submitted plans to the Burlington planning department for a 203,000-square-foot supercenter. According to site plans, the store would be located on 26.5 acres at Graham-Hopedale Road and North Mebane Street.
Besides general merchandise found in all Wal-Mart stores, the supercenter would have a grocery store, pharmacy, garden center, tire and lube center, vision center, deli, restaurant, photo studio and bank.
