Apr. 17--Tenet Healthcare Corp. has approached Cancer Treatment Centers of America through an intermediary about buying the former Parkview Hospital property.
Tenet, based in Santa Barbara, Calif., closed the 200-bed hospital last September after failing to find a buyer for the money-losing institution situated just north of Juniata Park.
Cancer Treatment Centers, which has its corporate headquarters in suburban Chicago, yesterday confirmed it was considering the Parkview site as possible location for an East Coast expansion.
