Ukraine becomes Egmont Group member
Kyiv, June 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine has become a full-fledged member of the Egmont Group international organization of financial intelligence.
This decision was unilaterally adopted at the plenary meeting of the Egmont Group, which took place on the British Guernsey island Wednesday, says the press service of Ukraine's First Vice Premier Mykola Azarov.
The press service says that "this is an extremely important event as regards international recognition Ukraine as a state actively cooperating in the fight with money laundering and financing of terrorism."
