Jan. 27--ROCHESTER, N.H. -- Northern New England is a funny place to play the Southern card.
But that's what John Edwards, drawl and all, has done, telling voters he's the "guy that can beat Bush, in the North, in the West, in the Midwest, and -- talkin' like THIS -- in the South."
The line got whoops and cheers here the other day.
The regional dimensions of today's New Hampshire primary bear watching, with three New Englanders and two sons of the South vying for the top five spots.
