Apr. 18--GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- When Michelle Smith decided to channel her anger into activism, she didn't seek out her local political party leaders or write her U.S. representatives or senators -- she went online.
On Saturday, many of the residents from one of the virtual communities that Smith frequents -- www.moveon.org -- met in the real world for the first time, holding bake sales around Orange County and across the nation to raise money for ads to benefit Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry.
