British companies interested in North-European pipeline
MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - British companies are seeking a role in a project aimed at building a North-European gas pipeline, visiting British Trade and Industry Minister Patricia Hewitt told Interfax.
"I am aware of Gazprom's plans for a 'North Europe Gas Pipeline' aimed largely at providing a more direct route for Russian gas into the EU and then on to the UK," Hewitt said.
