Starmaker's first SNL tape touts |Wayne'
Starmaker Entertainment is rushing out the first title in its recently acquired Saturday Night Live series to capitalize on last week's theatrical release of Wayne's World.
The lengthy title, Special Edition of The Best of Saturday Night Live, Including Wayne's World, is designed to call attention to the popular sketches performed by Mike Myers and Dana Carvey that became the basis for the Paramount Pictures movie, said Fred Endemann, VP of marketing for Starmaker.
The tape will be released on March 4 (Feb. 18 prebook) at a suggested retail price of $14.95, duplicated in SP mode.
