Bank One Upgrades Facilities in Central Illinois.

Apr. 13--PEORIA, Ill. -- Bank One is investing more than $1.3 million by the end of the year to refurbish branches and replace its automated teller machines in central Illinois.

Most of the investment will be used to replace about 40 ATMs in Peoria, Pekin, Bloomington, Champaign-Urbana and Springfield. The first ATMs will be replaced in Champaign-Urbana beginning this month, and the remainder by the end of 2005.

In addition, 16 branches will be renovated and updated with comfort areas that will include magazines, as well as toys and books to entertain children waiting with their parents, said Mark Vance, district manager for Bank One in central ...
