COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ Air Force senior offensive guard Brett Huyser is trying to make sure his football career isn't over.
Huyser will graduate from the academy in May, but unlike his classmates who must start serving five-year commitments in the Air Force, Huyser said he wants to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL.
However, the Department of the Air Force terminated its professional sports separation policy Jan.20, which had allowed a handful of academy standouts to pursue NFL careers after serving two years in the Air Force.
