Apr. 7--A decade after voters rejected the controversial, 25,000-acre New Town development in south Sutter County, a more modest proposal emerged Tuesday night.
LNR Property Corp. said it's considering a mixed use of residential, industrial and commercial development in the 7,500 acres Sutter County is allowed to develop in the Natomas Basin.
County supervisors, who had scheduled their study session to discuss what to do about their South Sutter County Specific Plan, said they want voters to decide the housing issue.
