Jun. 23--And Bill Clinton is no Harry Potter.
Still, while there were no blocks-long lines like the ones in Manhattan for the 42nd president's "My Life," it sold steadily here Tuesday -- its first day on local shelves.
Unlike bookstores in New York, Washington and Little Rock, Ark., that stayed open Monday so people could buy copies at midnight -- the official release time -- local stores kept regular hours.
The biggest excitement at Barnes & Noble in Oglethorpe Mall came when a couple of local television news crews showed up to see how the book was doing.
The answer: Not bad at all, thanks.
