What do Fox's 24 and the 24-hour cable news channels have in common? They keep bouncing from hot spot to hot spot _ and the hotter the hot spot the better.
"You need to make things feel big," says ever-contemplative CNN anchor Aaron Brown, whose recurring deep thoughts strive to be deeper than Jack Handy's. "They seem important in the moment and they're immediately responded to and there's something else that replaces them. I mean, you barely get a chance to chew before there's another entree on the plate."
