2004 JUN 28 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- PGP Corporation and Montrose Memorial Hospital announced that Montrose will use PGP Corporation's PGP Universal to secure confidential patient information in electronic communications as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
"The pace at which the health care industry moves is probably much quicker than other industries," explained Bill McClelland, Montrose Memorial's IT director. "Everything is based on patient care needs and outcomes, whether it's purchasing technology, negotiating new contracts, or exchanging information with an insurance company."
