2004 JUN 28 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Two companies have decided to offer individual health insurance in South Dakota, a reversal from recent years of insurance firms pulling out of the state.
States General Life Insurance Co. of Fort Worth, Texas, and Medica, based in Minneapolis, are completing the paperwork necessary to offer individual policies in South Dakota, Governor Mike Rounds said June 10, 2004.
The governor credits the change to South Dakota's new health insurance risk pool, created by the 2003 Legislature.
