Apr. 2--Associated Banc-Corp said it acquired Kimberly-based employee benefits firm Jabas Group Inc. to gain insurance products for the bank's business customers.
Terms of the deal, announced Thursday, were not disclosed.
Jabas, which had $12 million in sales in 2003 and has 80 employees, will join the bank's insurance subsidiary, Associated Financial Group.
The firm "matches up quite well with our business not only culturally but geographically," Bill Bohn, chief executive of Associated Financial, said in an interview. "Their locations are quite a good fit."
