Apr. 2--Standing outside Southwest Middle School on a crisp March day, eighth-grader Brittany Youngs bristles the second the school's dress code is mentioned.
"It makes nothing better," said Youngs, 14, of the Reading School District dress policy, which basically amounts to students in grades one to eight wearing similar attire such as khaki pants and polo shirts.
Youngs said she occasionally has problems following the policy -- specifically, not wearing a collared shirt as required.
