Apr. 2--TUPELO, Miss. -- Ken Lowe puts first things first.
And at the top of the list for the E.W. Scripps chief executive is Hancock Fabrics.
The Tupelo-based company is why Lowe will address the Community Development Foundation at The Mall at Barnes Crossing on Friday.
A decade ago, Lowe came to Tupelo selling a fledgling network -- Home & Garden Television, or HGTV.
"As a matter of fact, Hancock was the very first advertiser," Lowe said Wednesday. "They were the first people who signed up and out of that relationship there's a very funny story about how it all came together."
