MELBOURNE, June 25 Asia Pulse - Brewer Lion Nathan Ltd (ASX:LNN) has signed a new deal to produce and market Beck's beer in Australia.

Lion Nathan said its agreement with Belgium-based Interbrew superceded an existing arrangement that had been in place for longer than three years.

Lion Nathan said Beck's was a key brand for Lion Nathan in the premium beer segment, which accounted for nine per cent of the Australian beer market.

Managing director Andrew Reeves said Lion Nathan had been keen to secure the future of Beck's in Australia.
