Mar. 31--TOKYO -- Japan Airlines System Corp. and All Nippon Airways Co. (ANA) have received a total of 55 billion yen in bailout loans from the state-run Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), officials at the two major Japanese airlines said Wednesday.
The total breaks down into 20 billion yen for Japan Airlines System and 35 billion yen for ANA.
The two companies have been hit hard by the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) which has caused a steep fall in revenues from international flight operations such as those from Japan to China. They ...
