Mar. 31--Ed Caron gassed up his car in Daytona Beach on Tuesday and lamented a vacation cut short, in part, by rising gas prices.
The French Canadian usually tours this country for several months each year. But this time, Caron and his wife are heading back to Montreal two weeks early. The cost of gasoline and more expensive hotel rooms and meals have taken their toll on the Carons' budget.
"We were going to stay three months, but we're going back this week," said Caron, who had just spent about a week in Orlando. "And next year, maybe we'll stay only two months."
