First things first.
That's the mantra that Syracuse Salty Dogs players and coaches have been repeating all week.
The Salty Dogs, who face the exciting prospect of playing their first match against a Major League Soccer opponent on Wednesday, have had to push those thoughts to the rear while concentrating on the more important task at hand.
Syracuse earned a trip to Columbus, Ohio, to play the MLS Crew next week in a U.S. Open Cup match. But the seven-hour bus ride could be much longer if the Salty Dogs don't do well this weekend against two divisional foes in the A-League's Eastern Conference.
