Mar. 11--Chico's, an upscale women's wear chain, intends to open a store in the Central Texas Marketplace, Interstate 35 and West Loop 340. It already is advertising for managers, though it has not formally signed a lease.
"It's a very well thought of store, one of the hottest boutiques in the country. They just don't have a lease signed, so I can't comment. Confidentiality is very important to us," said Jeff Rouzie, leasing agent for Central Texas Marketplace, talking by phone Wednesday from Birmingham, Ala. The center is being developed by Birmingham-based AIG Baker.
Chico's apparently has no doubt it will get a lease. ...
