Islamabad, June 26 (PTI) Sujat Hussain, who has been nominated as Pakistan Prime Minister to succeed Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, said he is an interim Prime Minister and would hold the post until the present Finance Minister Shoukat Aziz gets elected to the National Assembly after which he would hand over the post to Aziz.
Hussain told state-run PTV that he has been asked to take over as interim Prime Minister until Aziz, who is currently a Senator, gets elected to National Assembly.
Under the Pakistan constitution, Prime Minister should be an elected member of National Assembly.
