From the store owner on down to the part-time cashier, it's no secret that small goods are the biggest profit generator in music retail. Exquisite guitars, slick technology, and hot-rod sound systems may generate more excitement in the showroom, but the sticks, strings, straps, cables, and countless little boxes in the accessory counter are what really keep the lights on and doors open.
