Jun. 19--A small San Jose mapping and land-survey company found itself at the center of a media storm Friday after hackers commandeered the company's Web site to post videos of Al-Qaida hostage Paul Johnson Jr.
Tim Redd, owner of Silicon Valley Land Survey in San Jose, said he learned from a reporter at German magazine Der Spiegel that his company's Web site had been used as a link to videos of a then-alive Johnson. The Lockheed Martin employee was executed Friday after being kidnapped in Saudi Arabia by Al-Qaida terrorists. By Friday, local television crews were camping out in front of Redd's offices.
