HOUSTON _ Great days for Cowboys fans in late January have become distant memories. Saturday will be a day to add to the list.
There will be no Super Bowl for Dallas for the eighth straight season, but there almost certainly will be good news on the Hall of Fame front. With three Cowboys among the 15 finalists, at least one and possibly two players could be set for induction.
As is always the case, there is a downside.
If Bob Hayes makes it, he will be inducted posthumously. Hayes died Sept. 18, 2002, and his accomplishments went unrecognized by Hall of Fame voters for years.
