Mar. 3--Heartland Food Corp. has purchased 39 Burger King restaurants in North Carolina, including those that are open in Fayetteville. A company in Florida bought 39 North Carolina restaurants from AmeriKing this week. The deal did not include this location or two other empty Burger Kings in Fayetteville.
Heartland closed the deal Monday for the restaurants, according to Al Cabrera, the head of the five investors at Heartland. AmeriKing was once the largest Burger King franchisee in the country. But that ...
