Mar. 2--PERTH AMBOY, N.J. -- A 250,000-square-foot manufacturing building along Lehigh Avenue, used by a company that supplied bomber jackets to the military during World War II, and some property across the street from the factory are being redeveloped into a new 233-unit mixed residential community.
Standing in front of the block-long Schott Brothers manufacturing plant on Lehigh Avenue, Jason Kaplan, vice president of Kaplan Cos. of Highland Park, along with Mayor Joseph Vas yesterday announced plans for the $38 million Federal Hill at Perth Amboy redevelopment project.
