Mar. 3--BOLIVAR PENINSULA, Texas -- Five-year-old Kooper Langredersat on his father's shoulders to watch students and school district officials turn over the first shovelfuls of black dirt at the groundbreaking for a new elementary and middle school here Monday.
"We've been looking forward to this for a long time," said Kooper's father, Kenneth Langreder, 36, a restaurant manager.
Kooper's brother, Kyle, 13, played with the middle school band during the groundbreaking.
