CHICAGO _ The way Roy Oswalt figures it, the Houston Astros didn't need to sign Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens to give them the upper hand over the Cubs in the National League Central. They just needed him to recover from the groin injuries that plagued him.
"I believe I cost us the division last year," Oswalt said. "We only finished one game back. If I could have won four or five more games, it would have put us over the top. I guess injuries are something everybody has to go through at one time or another, and last year was my turn."
