Millions of folks fortunate enough to have HBO, or friends with HBO, tuned in Sunday for the wrap-up installment of ``Sex and the City.'' The denouement of Carrie's love life, of course, topped the plot. But the fate of breast cancer victim and sexpot Samantha ran a close second. Will Sam be OK? Will her cancer recur? Could she even die?
Since Samantha is fictional, viewers can ask those questions without much emotional involvement. In the real world, though, questions about breast cancer are increasingly tough to bear while answers remain stubbornly out of ...
