PHILADELPHIA _ His friends were away at school, and all Elijah Robinson felt was emptiness. A 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman from Camden's Woodrow Wilson High, Robinson believed he should have been on a football field last fall, starting his college career.
Today, Robinson has landed a college scholarship and achieved peace of mind; both had proved elusive since his high school playing days. He is part of the recruiting class at Penn State, where he enrolled in January. Robinson will sign a binding national letter of intent today, the first day recruits are eligible to do so.
