Feb. 5--Airway Heights has no swimming pool, no tennis court, no track and few fields to play on.
However, it might not be long before West Plains kids are barreling down water slides, or teenagers and adults are buffing up in a state-of-the-art gym.
Airway Heights could have a community recreation center by the end of 2005, if voters are willing to approve a bond measure.
The city is looking at three sites.
A survey conducted between Jan.7 and Jan.21 indicated people in Airway Heights, Medical Lake, Four Lakes and surrounding areas are enthusiastic about the idea.
