Jan. 13--Santa Barbara County's airports managed to boost passenger levels and interest from new carriers in 2003.
At Santa Barbara Municipal Airport, passenger counts were up 2 percent in the first nine months of 2003, and Santa Maria Airport reported a strong 7 percent increase compared with the prior year.
