Jan. 13--PEORIA, Ill. -- A new agreement between Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc. and CNH Global Inc. will result in the closure of six Caterpillar Logistics facilities, including the one in Joliet, the company said Monday.
That distribution facility will be phased out over 18 months, affecting 206 employees, including 158 hourly workers represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, said Ben Cordani, a spokesman for Caterpillar Inc.
