Jan. 13--TPI Polene Plc plans to issue 500 million baht worth of bonds this year for refinancing, according to Prachai Leophairatana, the administrator of the company's debt restructuring plan.
Mr Prachai said the company had called on Krung Thai Bank to serve as an underwriter for the bonds. Earlier, TPI Polene had asked the bank for a refinancing loan. The state-owned bank said it had conducted due diligence but had not yet approved the loan.
Mr Prachai said the bond issue would be a refinancing alternative should the bank not approve the loan requested.
