Jan. 7--Upper Merion officials have taken one more whack at saving the Valley Forge Golf Course, located in the heart of the busy township, from being developed as shops, hotels and houses.
A state Supreme Court decision last month clearing the way for the building project was written by a justice with a conflict of interest, township officials claim.
In a 4-1 decision on Dec. 18, the court ruled that the township's 30-year refusal to change the 135-acre property's zoning from farmland to commercial was illegal.
