Jun. 30--BRADENTON, Fla. -- Overheated customers have a new frozen custard shop to keep them cool this summer.
With the opening of Zipps Frozen Custard at 3438 53rd Ave. W., co-founder and CEO Steven Paley thinks he's found the ideal location for the frozen dessert.
"We are across the street from Bayshore High School and down the road from Manatee Community College," Paley said. "I couldn't ask for a better spot."
The "prototype" shop is named after one of his partner's grandparents, who opened a custard stand more than 100 years ago in Coney ...
