RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Gary C. Smith, President and CEO of Fairfield County Bank Corp. announced today that Fairfield County Bank Corp. (Fairfield County Bank) has merged with Bank of Westport.
Fairfield County Bank, a Connecticut mutual savings bank with over $1 billion in assets is headquartered in Ridgefield, Connecticut and operates Ridgefield Bank and Fairfield County Bank as divisions of the corporation. The merger with Bank of Westport will expand the bank's market to include Westport. Fairfield County Bank will operate both the Westport 180 Post Road East office and the Fairfield, 1312 Post Road office as branches of Fairfield County Bank.
