MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- North East Waste Services, Inc. ("NEWS" or "the Company") announced today that, consistent with its planned two-year succession strategy, the Company's Board of Directors has elected James Elitzak President and Chief Executive Officer and David Florance Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. As President and CEO, Mr. Elitzak replaces John Boyer, who announced his planned retirement from the Company.
