Jun. 27--MERIDEN, N.H. -- The Plainfield Selectboard scheduled a public hearing as groundwork before officials will write a letter of support for a senior housing proposal.
A community action agency is seeking to develop a senior citizens' housing complex on five acres off Flatiron Road in Meriden. Owned by Kimball Union Academy, the land would be sold to Southwestern Community Services Inc. of Keene and Claremont for housing a 20-unit apartment building, Development Director Keith Thibault of the agency told the selectboard this week.
