Expenditures of Visa card holders rise by 50 % to CZK 220 bn
Prague. June 29. INTERFAX EUROPE - Czech holders of Visa credit cards spent some CZK 223 bn between March 2003 and March 2004, an increase of 48 % yr/yr, the firm announced.
The number of Visa cards in use in the CR was up 20 % yr/yr to 3.1 mln at the end of March. Visa's competitor, MasterCard, had over 3 mln credit cards in circulation at end 2003.
Roughly two-thirds of all expenditures by Visa card holders represented withdrawals from ATMs. The rest were payments in retail ...
