SEOUL, July 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korean automakers' domestic sales fell sharply in June, reflecting sluggish domestic demand that has yet to see a turnaround, according to automakers' monthly sales report released Thursday. However, the automakers' strong exports, which outstripped their poor domestic sales, boosted their overall performance, it said. The total sales at South Korea's five automakers were up 33.5 percent year-on-year to 399,214 units, largely led by exports which grew 56.1 percent during the corresponding period, the report said.
