Google has announced an extension of its AdSense program to let low traffic sites carry contextually targeted adverts. It's also testing a new customisable search facility.
AdSense delivers text and image ads contextually targeted according to site content. Previously it was only available to high traffic sites, such as AOL, but now it's available to SMEs and other niche sites.
Google shares ad revenue with the Web publisher, but the firm has refused to reveal any details of how much money sites can expect to earn.
